Road work closed Old Highway 34 from Benton Avenue west to Lockridge in Jefferson County beginning Monday, May 12.

The road will be closed to through traffic in the coming days as the existing road top is removed and a lift of rock/sealcoat is placed.

The duration for this project is not known.
