One transported to hospital after semi-tractor accident
MT. PLEASANT — On Sunday, Aug. 18, at approximately 3:12 a.m. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office received notice of a single-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 34 near Mile Marker 231.
An investigation into the collision determined James Davis, 73, of Bloomfield, failed to navigate a turn while driving a semi-tractor trailer east on U.S. Highway 34. His vehicle then left the roadway, entered the median, and overturned before finally coming to rest.
Davis was transported to Henry County Health Center for further assessment. Mt. Pleasant Police Department, Henry County EMS, and Mt. Pleasant Fire Department assisted the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
