MT. PLEASANT — The follow-up Planning and Zoning Commission meeting pertaining to the alternative energy overlay ordinances in Henry County originally scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 25 has been postponed with a new date yet to be determined.
After the Henry County Planning and Zoning Commission voted to reject the Board of Supervisors’ suggestions for an alternative energy overlay ordinance at a public hearing last week, they were scheduled to further discuss the topic with one another at the Thursday, Sept. 19 Board of Supervisors meeting. This agenda item, however, was moved.
While the supervisors initially motioned to move the discussion to this week’s meeting on Thursday, Sept. 26, they later determined that date would likely need changed as all supervisors wish to be present, and Chad White will be gone that day.
A brief discussion revealed that schedule might prove difficult as the following week presents another conflict with another supervisor, however, once they are able to discuss the ordinance, the Planning and Zoning Commission will reschedule their meeting.
