Police seek information on car arson

MT. PLEASANT — Mt. Pleasant Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance following a car fire Tuesday, Jan. 2.
At approximately 4:53 a.m., the Mt. Pleasant Police Department received reports of a fully engulfed car on fire at North Harrison and East Madison streets.
Mt. Pleasant Fire responded and put the fire out, but the vehicle was a total loss and the investigation revealed that it had been intentionally set.
The case still is under investigation and ongoing.
The police department asks that anyone with any information or anyone who sees suspicious activity to contact them at 319 385-1450.
