TRENTON — RAGBRAI Riders can take care of all their needs while stopping by Trenton Friday with a variety of vendors and amenities offered.
The Trenton RAGBRAI Committee anticipates riders will pass through anytime throughout the day Friday, July 26, but expect the peak to come through around 2 p.m.
Trenton will offer a charging station and Rathbun Water will give riders an opportunity to fill their water bottles. While they hydrate, rest, and prepare to make the last leg of their journey to Mt. Pleasant for the day, the Honey Wagons will perform. Additionally, riders are invited to stop by the information tent in Trenton to send a postcard home.
During their stop RAGBRAI participants and spectators can enjoy some of the following vendors:
Pineapple Whip Paradise will serve up dole whip cones, dishes, floats, and Sundays.
Trenton United Methodist Church prepared by baking many dozens of homemade cookies. Additionally, the church will serve watermelon, bananas, giant pickles, snack mix, and protein balls.
Wesley Chapel Methodist will offer Bierocks mentioned on the Iowa Bike Ride BINGO card. The church also will offer freezer pops, frozen grape kebabs, chips, water, and soda.
The Iowa Craft Beer Tent will make a stop at Trenton Park with brews, burgers, and brats from Backpocket Brewing Company and Brewer Family Farms.
The Tipsy Traveler’s will offer a variety of adult beverages including “HogWash,” pick juice shots, vodka Redbull, vodka lemonade, and rum and coke.
Rich’s Kids, a local kids organization, will offer bottled water and Gatorade.
Rathbun Water will fill water bottles.
All vendors will close at 5 p.m. as the RAGBRAI event continues into Mt. Pleasant for the night.
Trenton officials warn residents that RAGBRAI Bicycle traffic will be heaviest in the area from noon-5 p.m., though the official hours will run from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. and there are bound to be stranglers before and after those times. Roads North and East of Trenton Park will be closed to regular traffic, but W55 will remain open.
While activities are aimed toward RAGBRAI all are welcome.
