Rick Rodgers Community Pool opens this weekend
It is nearly time to ditch the backpacks and grab the sun screen as pool season begins

WINFIELD — The end of the school year is just around the corner and so is pool season. The Rick Rodgers Community Pool will open for the season this Sunday, May 26.
Opening day patrons can enjoy a nice cool dip in the pool from 1-4 p.m. with normal hours resuming Monday.
The pool will open from 1-7 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays. Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday it will open from 1-6 p.m.
During normal operating hours pool-goers may purchase pool passes and sign up for swim lessons, though pool parties will need to be booked through the city office.
Swim lessons for children nine years old and under will cost $60 for a week of five 30-minute sessions during one of the following available dates:
June 10-14
June 17-21
June 24-28
July 8-12
Those 10 years old and over may take group lessons that will focus on pre-life saving skills for $60. This session will run from June 24-28 from 11 a.m.-noon This class is limited to the first 10 children to sign up. Participants must already have decent swimming skills to take this class.
