To the editor,
The Salem Fire and Rescue Association Inc. would like to send a thank you to everyone who has made a donation to the department in the last 10 years. These donations have come from memorials, spaghetti dinners, pancake breakfasts, auctions, fundraising during Salem Old Settlers and grants written by the department. Aside from the monetary donations, there has been a tremendous amount of time donated to the department by the members' families. The family's time has helped make each event successful. The department as a whole appreciates the families for all their time donated.
The donations have allowed the department to purchase a 2018 Dodge Ram pick-up brush truck, Danko skid unit for the brush truck, and other small equipment. Without all of the donations this equipment would not have been able to be purchased.
Again, thank you to all who have donated and supported the association over the years. We look forward to continue to serve our community and surrounding communities.
Fire Chief, Steve Nichting and the Salem Fire and Rescue Association
