Salem man loses control of vehicle, strikes building in MP

The Mt. Pleasant Police Department responded to the area of 206 North Jefferson Street in Mt. Pleasant for a report of a vehicle striking a building.

Upon investigation, it was determined that Richard Noud, of Salem, had lost control of his vehicle while attempting to park, causing the vehicle to strike the north side of the building located at 206 North Jefferson Street. Noud and his passenger were treated on the scene by emergency medical personnel and released. No other injuries were reported.

Damage to the vehicle was estimated at around $3,000. Damage to the building was also estimated at $3,000. Noud was cited for failure to maintain control.

The Mt. Pleasant Police Department was assisted by the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department, the Henry County Health Center emergency medical services and Breuer Towing.
