SEC basketball: Friday matchups

Teams in the Southeast Conference will return to action Friday night with matchups against one another for conference bragging rights.
Washington
The Washington and Burlington, 2-2, boys will face off at Burlington High School.
The Demons come into the contest undefeated at 3-0, including a huge win on Tuesday over Pella, 82-69.
Ethan Patterson currently leads Washington averaging 22.7 points per game, all while shooting 62.5% from the field and 55.6 points from three.
Burlington is led by Merquiche Lewis Jr., who is averaging 15 points per game.
The Washington girls come into Friday’s contest still searching for their first win of the season, 0-4.
In their last game, the girls fell to Pella, 66-18.
Junior Kaylin Long is the Demons leading scorer averaging seven points a game.
Mt. Pleasant
The Mt. Pleasant boys, 1-2, will look to continue where they left off last week in a matchup against Keokuk in Mt. Pleasant.
In their last game, the Panthers defeated West Burlington 73-53.
Dewon Trent currently leads the Panthers in scoring and rebounds with 13.7 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game.
For the Chiefs, MJ Davis leads the way averaging 18.5 points a game.
The Panther girls, 1-4, will look to bounce back on the road against Keokuk after a tough loss to Oskaloosa on Tuesday, 62-41.
Andrea Lopreato leads the Panthers averaging 16.8 points a game and 8.8 rebounds.
The Chiefs are led by Abby Wolter who is averaging 23 points a game.
Fairfield
The Trojan boys, 1-2, will look to pick up a win at home against a tough Fort Madison team, 2-0, after losing their last two games by slim margins against Washington and Ottumwa.
Max Weaton leads the Trojans in scoring and rebounds, averaging 18.3 points and 9.3 rebounds.
Dayton Davis is the points per game leader for Fort Madison, averaging 20.
The Trojan girls, 2-1, will look to extend their win streak to three games against Fort Madison, 3-0, on the road.
Fairfield picked up a 63-24 win over Ottumwa in their last contest.
Delaney Breen currently leads the point totals for the Trojans, averaging 20.3 points per game.
Malarie Ross is the Bloodhounds leading scoring with a 26 points per game average.
