SEIBA Announces School District Grant Program Recipients

BURLINGTON — The Southeast Iowa Builders Association (SEIBA) is providing eight local school districts with funding to help support their Building Trades programs. Over $25,000 will be distributed this spring.

The following school districts will receive funds for acquisition of individual tools and materials beyond the districts’ funding abilities.

Mediapolis — $3,995

New London — $3,000

Wapello — $2,232

Burlington — $7,147.09

Mt. Pleasant — $1,357.00

West Burlington — $4,759.50

West Central — $1,210.00

Winfield-Mt. Union — $2,075

SEIBA, founded in 1916, aims to continually improve the capabilities and capacities of the construction industry through education, training, and teamwork. Funding for SEIBA initiatives is generated through annual fundraising events. Last year, the 2023 Annual Hog Roast brought in a record setting $43,161; this year’s event will be April 12 at The Pzazz Event Center. Additionally, the 2024 Annual Golf Outing is scheduled for Aug. 24.
