Senior communities offer variety of events

MT. PLEASANT — Local senior living communities will host events in the Henry County area over the weekend.

Saturday, March 25, Addington Place of Mt. Pleasant invites children 12 and under to enjoy their annual community Easter Egg Hunt.

The event will run from 10:30-11:30 a.m. with children’s activities, refreshments, and an appearance from the Easter Bunny.

Last week, residents and staff worked hard to prepare the over 1,200 eggs, special prizes, and baskets.

The hunt will begin promptly at 11 a.m.

Sunday, March 26, at 10 a.m. New London Specialty Care will host their annual Community Easter Egg Hunt.

The egg hunt will begin at the side yard of the facility with sections for age groups 0-3, 4-6, and 7-10.

Following the hunt, New London Specialty Care invites children to show off their artistic skills with a coloring contest.

Also on Sunday, Parkview Home in Wayland will host a fundraiser to help purchase a handicap accessible transport bus and dining room chairs.

The fundraiser event will offer a freewill lunch of walking tacos, dessert bars, ice cream, and beverages.

They will also provide a to-go option.
