Soup supper supports Holiday Stroll

NEW LONDON — New London Holiday Stroll Committee will host their next fundraising community event next Saturday, March 25.

While it is not quite as chilly as it normally is during the December Holiday Stroll, the committee still looks to warm their community with a soup supper beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the New London Community building.

They will offer soup, a drink, and choice of a dessert for $6 at the fundraiser.

A lot of work goes into supporting this small town’s end of the year celebration.

“The Holiday Stroll committee is a nonprofit organization,” organizer Chelsea Boecker said. “We are a small group of volunteers who host events for our community throughout the year to raise money for our main event in December — The New London Holiday Stroll.”

Not only does the committee arranges a festive holiday celebration every December, but they bring community spirit to New London throughout the year with their fundraising efforts.
