MT. PLEASANT — The Fellowship cup will host their annual "Community Appreciation,” Oct. 8.
The Quarter Maybe More Store will host the annual $0.25 sale from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Guests shopping the sale are asked to please bring small bills.
They are also advised that delivery will not be available and purchased items must be picked up before the store closes at 3 p.m.
Additionally, the Fellowship Cup will host a free pancake breakfast from 7 a.m.-Noon.
“This is not a fundraiser,” Director of the Fellowship Cup Ken Brown said. “It is meant as a way for us to say thank you to the community that supports us.”
In previous years, Brown found that people would miss the pancake breakfast because they did not want to lose their spots in line at the Quarter Sale.
“We want to extend hours for the sale and breakfast so that people can participate in both events,” Brown said was the solution for this predicament.
Another way the Fellowship Cup desires to continue to support the community is through a series of Home Economic Classes this Fall.
“Classes will involve human development, personal and family finances, consumer issues, housing and interior design, nutrition and food preparation, and apparel repair,” Brown said.
The first class in this Home Economic series is “Basics of Canning.”
Two class times are available with a limit of six people in each class.
In each class, the name of one person will be drawn for a canning starter kit.
Classes are Tuesday, Oct. 18, 10-11:30 a.m. and Monday, Oct. 24 6-7:30 p.m.
To register for one of these limited spots please call the Fellowship Cup at (319) 385-3242

The annual Quarter Sale at the Quarter Maybe More Store is popular with the community. Hundreds of community members turned up to the Quarter Maybe More Store to take part in there flash sale last year. Everything in the store was 25 cents. (Union File Photo)
