Tiger women fall short
Iowa Wesleyan came back in the fourth, but couldn’t complete the comback

QUINCY, Ill. -- The Iowa Wesleyan women’s basketball team trailed for much of its matchup against Quincy University Wednesday, and despite a late comeback, the Tigers fell, 56-53.
The Tigers found themselves down early against the Hawks, but kept it close in the first half, only trailing by three at the half, 24-21.
By the end of the third quarter, Quincy had extended its lead and Iowa Wesleyan found itself down by six, 42-36.
In the fourth, the Tigers picked up their first lead of the game, but it was short lived as the Hawks took it back and built a nine point lead with less than three minutes left in the game.
The Tigers answered back, cutting the lead to just three points with 49 seconds left in the fourth.
Despite the comeback, the Hawks were able to hold off the Tigers and pick up the win.
Breanna Wendland was the leading scorer for Iowa Wesleyan pouring in 20 points, along with nine rebounds.
Kyla Moore followed Wendland with 18 points and seven rebounds. Brittany West chipped in 10 points and six rebounds.
The Tigers wont return to action until Dec. 30, when they will play host to Cottey College.
