Tigers run through Red Lions

LINCOLN, Ill. — The Iowa Wesleyan women dominated on the road Wednesday, defeating the Lincoln Christian University Red Lions, 85-39.
It was the Tigers first conference win of the season.
Iowa Wesleyan struggled to pull away in the first quarter, leading just 24-17 by its end.
In the second, the Tigers came out red-hot. They outscored the Red Lions 21-7, giving them a 45-24 halftime lead.
They continued their dominance throughout the third and fourth quarter, only allowing a total of 15 points throughout the two quarters, nine in the third and six in the fourth.
Brittany West and Kyla Moore had themselves a night, combining for 58 points.
West finished the night with a game high 30 points, along with seven rebounds.
Moore added 28 points with eight rebounds, five steals, and four assists.
Cassi Kraft ended the night with 10 points, six rebounds and three steals.
Breanna Wendland chipped in eight points while grabbing 13 rebounds, and four assists.
Iowa Wesleyan shot 46% of the field and 34% from three in the contest.
The Tigers accumulated 24 second-chance points, while limiting the Red Lions to just one. Twenty points came off turnovers.
They also dominated on the boards as well. Iowa Wesleyan pulled down 41 rebounds while Lincoln Christian had just 14.
The Tigers move to 9-2 on the season, and will look to continue their success against Viterbo University on Dec. 11.
