TRENTON — Trenton Trick-or-Treaters refused to let the cold deter them from getting their sweets Monday evening as they made their way around town.
With a high of 39 degrees and a low of 27 degrees, it was certainly chilly as community members, organizations, and businesses set up trunk-or-treat booths at the park for trick-or-treaters shivering in excitement.
Between visiting trunk-or-treat stations and knocking on doors around town, kids in Trenton also enjoyed hot dogs at the park thanks to Trenton Angels.
Armed with treats and warm clothes Henry County Sheriff Rich McNamee and Reserve Deputy Matt Borders greeted children in Trenton Monday evening as part of their Snickers and Stickers project.
Not only did they hand out snickers and stickers, but the sheriff and deputy also enjoyed many laughs, photo opportunities, and moments of connection with one of the many towns they serve in Henry County.
This was only one stop of many for Henry County Sheriffs as they also designated times to stop in New London, Mt. Pleasant, Salem, Wayland, and Winfield this Halloween.
