Trump nabs Henry County Caucus win

MT. PLEASANT — The Republican Caucus wasn’t even close in Henry County as voters readily cast their ballots in favor of former President Donald Trump.

Of the 672 caucus participants Henry County Republican Central Committee saw show up Monday evening, nearly 65% voted (436) for the former president. With less than a third of Trump’s votes, 123 votes put Ron DeSantis in second for the county.

Nikki Haley managed to claim third in the Henry County Caucus with just over 12% of the votes (82) followed by Vivek Ramaswamy with 27 votes. Ryan Binkley and other both received 2 votes.

Chris Christie and Asa Hutchinson did not receive any votes in Henry County.
