Two escape vehicle fire unharmed

OLDS — On Friday, Sept. 6 at 10:30 p.m. Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Olds Fire Department responded to a vehicle engulfed in flames in the 1800 grid of highway 78 west of James Avenue and Highway 218.
The occupants, Sergio Flores, 23, and Austin Mahan, 27, of Coralville escaped the vehicle without injury. The vehicle, a 2006 BMW, was a total loss. The pavement also sustained approximately $1,000 worth of damage from the fire. Iowa Department of Transportation was called to the scene for the damage to the highway.
