MT. PLEASANT — Henry County Public Health is offering walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics.
Clinics are held Thursdays, June 30, July 14 and 28 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and Thursdays July 7 and 21 until 5:30 p.m.
Those who visit www.healthyhenrycounty.org can print their paperwork ahead of time in order to speed up the process.
The clinic comes in light of the Center of Disease Control’s new recommendation, as of June 18, for children six months through five years.
According to the Mayo Clinic, the COVID-19 vaccine was approved for emergency use in 2020, however, much of the background information for the vaccine has been actively researched since 1984.
The Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine was approved for use in children five through fifteen in 2021.
Henry County Public Health and the CDC encourage parents to get their children a vaccine with either the Pfizer-BioNtech or the Moderna vaccines regardless whether the children have or have not already had COVID-19.
For more information contact Henry County Public Health at (319) 385-0779 or visit their webpage or Facebook page.
