DANVILLE — Henry County Sheriff’s Office charged a Brighton man for failure to maintain control and driving while license revoked after a single-vehicle accident in Geode State Park.
On Feb. 11, at approximately 11:34 a.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident in Geode State Park.
Upon investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Donald Lee Fields of Brighton, was traveling north bound on Racine Avenue near Beach Road and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle went across the centerline toward incoming traffic, into the ditch, and struck a tree before coming to rest. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Fields was examined by Henry County EMS personnel and transported to the hospital where he was later released. Donald was charged with driving while license revoked and failure to maintain control of vehicle.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
