WACO builds spirit for homecoming
A week of Warrior-Spirit is ahead of WACO schools

MT. PLEASANT — WACO Warriors gear up for coming week ending with the big game Friday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m.
Today, students will begin working on homecoming floats for the parade to take place Friday night.
Sunday, students will gather to decorate school hallways from 2-4 p.m.
Wednesday, the student body will vote on homecoming king and queen and show off their school spirit at BOOM night.
Boom night will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday with a pep rally.
Following an address from the Warrior coaches, the dance team will pump up the school spirit with a performance.
Underclassmen can show off their chops during BOOM night tug-of-war before the coronation of homecoming king and queen.
Keeping with tradition, BOOM night will conclude with Boom Boom Volleyball and Powder Puff football.
Friday night, a homecoming parade will hype the community up with school spirit beginning at 5 p.m.; line up is at 4:30 p.m. at Bomber Field.
The game against the New London Tigers begins at 7 p.m. following the festivities.
While much of the community will head home following the game, WACO high school students will enjoy the homecoming dance from 9:30 p.m.-midnight.
Admission to the dance is $5. Pizza and drinks will be served.
In addition to all of this, the secondary and elementary schools encourage students to participate in dress up days throughout the week to show off their Warrior pride.
Secondary Dress up days:
Monday- Adam Sandler Day
Tuesday- Tiny Tots Day
Wednesday- White Out Day
Thursday- Dress like a Teacher Day
Friday- Spirit/Blues Clues Day
Elementary Dress up days:
Monday- Mismatch Monday
Tuesday- Twin/Triplet Day
Wednesday- Blackout Day
Thursday- Dress like a Teacher Day
Friday- Spirit Day
