WAYLAND — A week filled school spirit and traditions ended with a win for the WACO Warrior’s homecoming game last Friday, Sept. 13.
The week included decorating halls, dress up, and of course Boom Night on Wednesday. After crowning Isaac Rich and Ella Huisenga as the 2024 WACO Homecoming King and Queen, the WACO gym filled with high energy for Boom Boom Volleyball. The girls then took the football field for the traditional powder puff football game.
Homecoming royalty, cheerleaders, football players, and seniors then ushered in a last-minute push for more school spirit with the homecoming parade before Friday night ending in a WACO victory of 40-24 against Winfield-Mt. Union.
WACO Warriors continued their celebration into Saturday evening with the high school dance as they prepare to continue a hopefully successful football season Friday against HLV at 7 p.m.
