WAYLAND—To help celebrate and support the WACO Warrior football team advancing to the semi-finals of the Iowa State Football Championships, there will not be school Wednesday, Nov. 9.
This will allow families to travel to the game in a timely fashion.
The school district will utilize the Jan. 20, 2023 snow make-up day to replace this missed day of school.
The team will play Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Cedar Falls UNI-Dome against Newell-Fonda and gates will open one hour prior to game time.
Tickets to the 2022 State Football Semifinals and Finals are being managed by UNI and are available online and at the UNI-Dome. Semifinal tickets are good for their entire day, as the facility will not be cleared between games.
Tickets are $12.50 each with promo codes: $10 ticket, $2 to UNI for parking, and $0.50 service fee from UNI. Children preschool age and younger are free.
There is no additional charge for parking at the UNI-Dome. UNI has added a $2 parking fee on to each ticket price.
Call 319-273-4TIX (4849) or visit unitix.evenue.net and enter the code: SEMIONE to find tickets and avoid online fees.
