Warriors knocked out by No. 3 HTC

FT. MADISON - The WACO volleyball team made it hard on No. 3 Holy Trinity in one of three sets on Monday night. The Warriors forced extra serves in the second set, but the Crusaders pulled out a win in each of the three, knocking WACO out in three sets (25-11, 27-25, 25-7).
Morgan Graber had five kills in the loss to lead the Warriors. Lona Farrier and Clara Schmitz had four kills apiece. Nadiyah Brown finished the night with three kills. Laney Graber had two, and Aubri Garnsey finished with one.
L. Graber had 17 assists to lead WACO. Quinn Scarf finished with 13 digs to lead the defense, and Farrier had three blocks.
The Warriors went 40-41 with three aces on the serve. Molly McLaughlin went 10-10 with two assists. Quinn Scarff was 9-9 with an assist.
HTC moved on to the regional semifinals on Thursday, Oct. 25, where they will take on Seymour. Southeast Warren plays East Union in the other Class 1A Region 8 semifinal.
