MT. PLEASANT — Following a two-month investigation began on Nov. 17, 2024, Mt. Pleasant Police Department arrested Carlos Zamora, 25 of Washington, Jan. 21 for allegedly talking inappropriately online with a subject he believed to be a 15-year-old female juvenile.
Through the investigation, MPPD found Zamora to be sending inappropriate pictures to the female juvenile subject and attempting to arrange to meet to engage in sexual activity.
Zamora was charged with Enticement of a Minor Under 16 years of age-sexual purpose, a Class D felony and three counts of Dissemination of Obscene Material by phone first offense, Aggravated Misdemeanors.
Zamora is currently in custody at the Henry County Jail.
A criminal charge is an accusation until proven guilty.
