WASHINGTON — Thursday, Sept. 26 at approximately 6:37 p.m. Washington County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop of a motorcycle which ended in the arrest of Nathan Russell Beckler, 40, of Wayland.
According to the criminal complaint filed with Iowa Courts, Deputy Kirk Bailey spotted Beckler traveling south on 12th Avenue and Tyler Street on a motorcycle without a license plate. Upon stopping the motorcycle near 12th Avenue and Adams Street, Beckler identified himself and stated that he was barred and had warrants.
A bench warrant was issued for Beckler in Henry County Aug. 14 for failure to appear for pretrial conference. The initial charge against Beckler came from a traffic stop conducted by a Henry County Sheriff Deputy March 2024 in which Beckler was arrested for lack of registration plates on a Chevy Tahoe. Beckler was also charged for driving while barred at the March traffic stop.
