WINFIELD — The Winfield community showed up to support their local Fire and Rescue department as they enjoyed a pancake breakfast, last weekend.
The fire station on Ash Street filled with chatter as the tight-knit community filled in seats around tables donning red tablecloths.
Firefighters and volunteers filled large griddles with pancakes, eggs and sausage patties which then filled the stomachs of supportive community members.
These grateful residents gave free will donations for the delicious dinner to raise funds for the department.
In addition to the generosity of those that partook in the meal, the department extended thanks to Ted and Helene Hermann for their donation of maple syrup for the event.
