Winfield United Methodist Church hosts free concert

WINFIELD — Winfield United Methodist Church will host Christian Music Duo Jim and Melissa Brady for a free concert Thursday, Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m. following a free will offering community meal at 5 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
The evening will begin with a community meal consisting of Goulash or creamed turkey followed by a free concert performed by Singing News 2022 Fan Awards Favorite Duet Jim and Melissa Brady.
While enjoying Dove and Singing News Fan Awards, Grammy nominations, Absolutely Gospel Awards, number one songs and many other honors, one purpose which propels them onward.
According to their website, whether writing a new song, singing in concert, or simply in conversation with a friend, the story of their lives is to share the love and hope of Jesus.
This award-winning duet of artists and songwriters, Jim and Melissa Brady, come from a rich musical heritage that started in family ministry.
From there, they have transitioned to performing on gospel music stages including The Brooklyn Tabernacle, The Gaither Homecoming tour, The Dove Awards, The National Quartet Convention and in Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley.
Even with exciting new music and a touring schedule that is taking them all over the world, the duo will stop in the small town of Winfield to convey their message of love and hope through Jesus.
