Work to begin on Franklin Avenue in Henry County

MT. PLEASANT — The Henry County Engineer’s Office has announced an upcoming project on Franklin Avenue that could affect traffic.
According to the engineer’s office, crews will begin a project including culvert work and tree clearing along both sides of Franklin Avenue in preparation for a future resurfacing project.
Tree clearing will begin the week of Dec. 4 and continue through the winter in the 1.27-mile stretch between 260th and 275th streets on Franklin Avenue.
“Franklin Avenue will not be closed but could have lane closures with flaggers,” the engineer’s office stated in their announcement. “Expect delays and use caution.”
