17th Annual NLPPPA Golf Extravaganza Coming Soon

The requirements are few: you either have to be from New London, Iowa or know someone from New London, Iowa to be eligible to play. This allows any one who can meet these “stringent” requirements to get into the New London Professional Putt-Putt Association Golf competition on July 27, 2024.
This is the 17th year of this tremendous mini-golf tournament and, if pretournament inquiries are any indication, there is a fairly large contingent of golfers attending this year's event.
The event takes place in the Des Moines area and is as follows:
- 10 a.m. — Jester Park Mini Golf — 12059 NW 118th Avenue — Granger, IA 50109
- Noon — LUNCH @ Smokey D's BBQ — 5055 NW Second Street — Des Moines, IA 50313
- 1 p.m. — West Grand Golf — 6450 Raccoon River Drive — West Des Moines, IA 50266
- 3 p.m. — A.H. Blank Golf — 808 County Line Road — Des Moines, Iowa 50320
On a sad note, Brian Gibson, 1978 NLHS grad, will not be participating due to his untimely death in April. He will be missed. For those of you who do not know, Brian was the first champion and will be remembered dearly by his friends and his competitors.
The cost this year will be $22 per player (lunch not included) which includes all green fees and water. If you have not done so, please let us know if you are coming and invite someone you like (or someone you don't like) to join us. Limit is 72 players (currently at about 30).
