An April Fool’s fundraiser
The Girls’ Basketball team sponsored the 5K Fun Run to raise money for the girls’ basketball program. Spearheaded by coaches Terri Hester-Mathews and Bre Mettler, they hope to make it a yearly event.
This year’s event was cold and blustery, but the participants didn’t let that dampen their enthusiasm.
This year’s winners were:
•Male — 1st Place/Drew Zane — 29:19; 2nd Place/Jordan Olsen — 45:36.
•Female — 1st Place/Samantha Kelly — 31:44; 2nd Place/Robin Burden — 31:45.
The coaches gave a big “shout out” to their sponsors and their helpers: Morgan Jones, Kim Hester-Mathews, and Kent and Sheila Lamm. They hope to see all you runners next year!
