Another Tough Week for Tiger Football

The New London Tigers didn’t score the first or fourth quarters of the game on Sept. 13. Unfortunately the Iowa Valley Tigers did… 22 points to be exact. In quarters two and three they added 50 points to the Tigers’ 21. Tigers lost 72 to 21.
Quarterback Gavin Menke-Bailey was 5/10 passing for 62 yards with one interception and one touchdown to London Franklin. Menke-Bailey carried the ball 11 times for 35 yards and one TD.
Brigham Porter had a 54-yard kick return for a score.
Defensively, Cale Westerbeck led the Tigers with nine tackles. Porter added 5.5. Menke-Bailey had 4.5. Riley Raines and Nic Loyd each had three. Several Tigers had two each. They were Logan Franklin, Corbin Jacobs-Jewell, Carter Adams, Cole Swanson, and Liam Garvey.
Freshman quarterback Owen Severson threw once for a seven-yard completion.
