Boden Pickle
Apr. 13, 2023 12:36 pm, Updated: Apr. 19, 2023 12:20 pm
Friday Night lights at the football field was where one would find Boden during football season his four years of high school, tackling opponents and scoring TDs. But this tough-as-nails senior had his beginning on September 18, 2004 when he was born to Erica and Kevin Pickle. He joined brother Logan Long, now 34. His grandparents are Koral and Guy Fuson.
Going by the nicknames Bpick or Roids, Boden has been with the Class of 2023 since the beginning. He has participated in football, basketball, wrestling, and track. When he’s not busy at school, he enjoys lifting, fishing, and Pancheros.
His athletic prowess has garnered him many awards. He was a member of the 2022 State championship track team. He qualified in both 4x100 and 4x200. He was All-Conference as a running back and defensive lineman and an All-Hawk Eye defensive lineman. In wrestling, Boden was a state qualifier at 170.
His proudest moment was winning a state championship in track last season. His most embarrassing is when he falls during track…every year.
When asked to name a special person in his life, Boden picked his dad. He said, “I picked my dad because of his work ethic and for all the knowledge he has provided throughout the years.”
His advice for the underclassmen is to get in the weight room. Boden says of his class “we go hard” and that’s what sets them apart.
Looking forward to graduation, Boden plans on entering the work force at Advanced Radiator with his dad.
Tiger Nation will miss Boden’s competitive spirit and his will to win, but wishes him the best as he starts his next life’s adventure.
