REMINDER: Traffic on X23 south of New London/Lowell
Posted on Facebook: Henry County Road Department reminds everyone of the road closure of New London Road x23, south of Lowell beginning the week of May 22. Construction will consist of realignment and asphalt paving of the road. In addition, Penn Avenue will also be closed to through traffic. Work will take approximately four months weather pending. There will be a posted detour route. If there are any questions or concerns, call 319-985-0762
New London Eighth Grade Recognition May 26
At 10 a.m. in the High School Auditorium, eighth grade recognition will be held. The public is welcome.

Dover Museum is now open on Saturdays and Sunday through the summer
The Dover Museum, chapel and depot in New London are open everyone Saturday and Sunday through October from 1-4 p.m.
Memorial Day Observance to be held by VFW Post 7641
VFW Post 7641 will present a Memorial Day observance Monday, May 29 at 2 pm at the New London Veterans Memorial. Lawn chairs are encouraged. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held at the post home at 802 East McKinley. Refreshments will be served by VFW Post 7641 Auxiliary at VFW 7641 following the service.
