Caleb is a native to the area, living just outside of Mt. Pleasant for most of his life. After graduating from Mt. Pleasant Community High School in 2006, Caleb attended Indian Hills Community College and Upper Iowa University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Management. He now lives on a farm outside of town with his wife, Kelly, and two kids, Emerson & Finley.
Caleb’s passion for conservation and the outdoors started at an early age and led him to pursuing a career in the conservation field. Over the last sixteen years he’s had the opportunity to work for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Henry and Des Moines County Soil and Water Conservation Districts (Lake Geode Watershed Coordinator), ITC Power Company (Vegetation/Forestry Department), and now with the Henry County Conservation Department.
In his free time — Caleb enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking in one of our local county or state parks, kayaking & fishing on one of Iowa’s pristine waterways, implementing conservation practices on the landscape, and most of all — bowhunting in the fall!
