Cross-Country Kicks Off Season

The first XC meet was hosted by Pekin and was at Ottumwa’s Wildwood Park on Sept. 4. Coach Bridget Swailes summed up the first meet, “ Overall it was a great first meet for us. We were missing a few runners for various reasons. Almost everyone who ran met the goal I set in front of them for the first meet. All of our returners saw great improvements in their times from last year. We hope to have our full team next Thursday when we run at Fairfield. High School.”
