Cross-Country Teams Run at Conference/JH at State

On Oct. 15, the cross-country teams traveled to Cedar Crest Country Club in Columbus for the SEISC conference meet. Their times and places follow:
HS Boys
- Natan Bergman - 20:54 - 64th
- Elijah Ingwersen - 25:45 - 84th
- Zayden Lawrence - 26:01 - 86th
- Jayden Wagner - 32:14 - 89th
HS Girls
- Irelynn Kelly - 27:17 - 55th
JH Boys
- Zane Long - 12:35 - 15th
- Bentley Wright - 13:28 - 30th
- Job Reighard - 13:31 - 33rd
- Linken Welcher - 13:35 - 34th
JH Girls
- Gracie Dilks - 16:27 - 31st
The JH state meet - the Washburn Classic - was on Oct. 19. in Ankeny. The results are as follows:
JH Boys - Out of 163 runners
- Zane Long - 13:09 PR - 46th
- Bentley Wright - 14:20 - 88th
- Job Reighard - 14:25 - 91st
JH Girls - Out of 152 runners
- Gracie Dilks - 16:37 PR - 110th
In talking with Coach Swailes, she said, “It was a great day, we had two PRs (personal record) on the day and two kids that medaled. They were in the top 50 for their grade - Job Reighard and Zane Long.”
The high school team will be running at the state qualifying meet on Thursday, Oct. 24 at Kickers Park in Iowa City. Good luck Tigers!!!
