Dalila ‘Ren’ Hummell

Dalila, who goes by Ren, was born Aug. 12, 2004 to Noel Hummell and Christina Weathers. She joined siblings Sterling and Drake Hummell. Her grandparents are Ruby and the late Tim Hummell, Mary and John Weathers, and Great Grandma Sherly Mitchel.

Ren has been with the NLHS Class of 2023 for four years. She has participated in band and track. In her spare time she enjoys video games, running, taking care of animals, and animé.

She lists participating in track as one of her special memories. Among her most embarrassing … tripping up and down the stairs.

Ren chose her mom and dad as her special people. About them she says, “They are my parents, and I know they’ve seen me in my worst states and have dealt with a lot from me. I appreciate they’ve stayed with me at my worst.”

About her class, Ren finds what sets them apart is that they are energetic. Her advice to the underclassmen is to keep trying your best at what you like. You may not be good at first, but it doesn’t mean you won’t become good at it in the future.

Ren really enjoyed prom and is now looking forward to graduation. Her future plans include getting a car and an apartment to share with her dog and birds.
