Dover Sunday features singalongs, mystery photos
On Sunday, Oct. 15, at 1:30 p.m. a small group of visitors came to the Dover Museum in New London. Many photos were placed on the tables for all to view and help identify.
Stories were shared by everyone, some related to the photos and some recalling days long gone. The informal atmosphere was enhanced by Pam Finn, playing the piano and providing soothing background music. Ana Lair planned a singalong and chose songs everyone knew such as A Bicycle Built for Two, Blowin’ in the Wind and America.
Ana and Pam also provided information about the writing of music and lyrics. Many of the composers and performers were relatively unknown. Except for Bob Dillon, many of the people were unknown to the “choir.” The audience bravely followed Ana’s voice and did their best. All in all, the meeting was a fine, fun ending to the visiting season.
