Easter Egg Hunt at New London Specialty Care

The annual East egg hunt at the New London Specialty Care was a great success.
The day was bright with sunshine, but a chilly wind blew. The Easter bunny greeted egg hunters as they arrived. Many pictures were taken by parents and grandparents. Finally at 10 a.m., the hunt began. As they happily hunted the eggs, most residents watched through windows as the eggs were gathered by all ages of children. The backyard was divided into areas for 0-3, 4-6 and 7-10 age groups. In each group, an egg was designated grand prize, and the happy finder was given a special treat. After the hunt, the children went indoors to color a picture. The residents were looking forward to judging each entry and visiting a bit with all the children.
The New London Specialty Care has hosted this event for many years. Incorporating the community in holiday seasons and special events is very important. All ages enjoy the fun and excitement of getting together. The entire community came together with businesses and individuals donating plastic eggs, candy, or money to purchase needed supplies.
