While the winter sports were gearing up to begin their seasons, Tiger Esports teams have been very busy. Catching up with sponsor Cory Reid, we got the low down on their season. This year they ran three titles. They were Smite, Super Smash Bros, and Rainbow 6.
Smite finished their season at sub-state on Nov. 11. They lost to West Delaware and finished their season 3-4.
Super Smash Bros. received an automatic bye into the state tournament with an undefeated regular season. They will compete in Marshalltown on Nov. 22.
Rainbow 6 won their sub-state game last week against Dike-New Hartford and secured their spot at the state tournament in Marshalltown on Nov. 20.
As one can see, the teams have had a great season so far. We wish them great success this week as they compete in the state tournament … Go Tigers!
