Fall Sports Hosts “Meet the Players” Night

Friday, Aug. 23, 2024 is a red-letter day for New London! Not only is it the first day of the 2024-2025 school year, it is also “Meet the Players” night for volleyball, football, cheer, and our brand-new cross-country team.

Always a fun evening, there are team introductions, auctions, and scrimmages. The evening starts at 5:30 p.m. in the HS gym. The cross-country team is no longer shared with Danville. Coach Bridget Swailes will introduce her cross-country team. The team will, for the first time, wear Tiger black and gold at meets.

Next up will be the volleyball team. Coach Jackie Housman will introduce her girls, and then have a scrimmage. This starts at 5:45 p.m.

Then the Tiger faithful will make their way to the football field. At 6:15 p.m. the parking lot silent bids open. At 6:20 p.m. our spirit leaders, the cheerleaders, will be introduced.

At 6:25 p.m., Coach Darrin Loyd will introduce the football team. Then there will be a scrimmage with Wapello.

At 6:55 p.m. the parking lot silent bids close and at 7 p.m. the winners are announced. At 7:15 p.m. it’s wrap-up/cleanup time.

Let’s pack the bleachers and show our athletes our total support. See you there!
