Although no one qualified for the state meet, Coach Swailes sums up the inaugural season as a good one. She said, “Overall the season was good. There was a lot of learning that happened with the five freshman in competing a 5K versus a 2-mile race that the JH races. All of the kids made a lot of improvements throughout the season. Several of them taking a couple or more minutes off their times from the beginning of the season to their best races. It was hard not having complete teams so we are hoping that before next season we get enough kids to go out to have complete teams for all girls and boys junior high and high school teams.”
