Friends of Geode continue work on concession stand
April 29 an outstanding and successful workday was held at the concession stand.
As of yet the road to the beach has not been closed, so the day was possible.
A small group of dedicated volunteers were able to strip the electrical wiring and remove old appliances from the inside.
Externally, new facia board was installed. On Mark Wesely organized and directed the efforts.
John Fullencamp, Bob Hesler and Mike Dickey were diligent help. Doris Dickey and Janet Wesely provided a robust lunch. Virginia Ekstrand brought goodies for dessert/snacks.
It was a great workday and the building is showing progress with the overhead door installed and the new facia.
