Fun Day at Clark Elementary School

As the days and hours grow short at the end of the school year, challenges arise to keep students occupied. One of the last rewards in the PBIS program Fun Day. At the end of the Red Carpet Day program, the Tiger positive behavior tabs filled the Tiger Paw case well beyond the Fun Day mark.
The day before school let out for the summer, the Clark students gathered on the football field. Many dedicated volunteers supervised the activities. The day was a little cool but sunny and beautiful. Many of the activities used water with the result of many wet children. It was amazing how inventive the events were — many of them homemade. After 45 minutes, students could rotate to a new activity of their choice. All in all it was an afternoon well spent — lots of energy used, tons of smiles and perhaps new ideas for summer fun at home.
It appears that the goals of PBIS were met for the 2022-23 school year. It was apparent that the students were practicing safety and consideration for one another. Teachers, staff and students speak the same language every day regarding positive appropriate behavior thus ensuring a fun Fun Day.
