On Saturday, June 20 at 2 p.m., the Henry County Heritage Trust will welcome Ray Wilson. The meeting will be held at the Henry Count Heritage Center Museum, 403 West Madison Street, Mount Pleasant.
Ray is a member of the Southeast Iowa Civil War Roundtable group. He plans to share his helpful hints and demonstrate his methods for finding one’s Civil War ancestors. Ray will also be sharing some of his handouts with audience members.
The Southeast Iowa Civil War Roundtable Group is a private Facebook Group. This group is for the study and discussion of all things Civil War. It can be about your travels, the war itself, your ancestors, or anything relating to it. Members are encouraged to share articles, books, photos, and other resources related to the topic.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the rich history of Southeast Iowa. Also be on the lookout for coming Henry County Heritage Trust programs. Planned yet this summer are visits with Joel Garretson speaking on the Garretson Heritage Farm, and Dennis White sharing his knowledge about, Native American artifacts of Henry County.
