Until Nov. 12: American Revolution Experience Traveling Exhibit
The exhibit will be open Mondays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Enter the DAR Hall at 300 W Monroe Street. The exhibit is hosted by the James Harlan Chapter, NSDAR. Don’t miss his important beginning to the 250 year celebration of the founding of our country.
Nov. 9: Veterans Day Brunch at New London’s VFW Post 7641
10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Auxiliary is hosting their annual Brunch to honor area Veterans. Enjoy biscuits & gravy, egg casseroles, grilled pork tenderloin, cheesy potatoes, coffee cakes, treats, fruit, and more! This meal is a free will donation with all proceeds going to the Blue Star Mother’s Organization for postage to ship Christmas Care packages to deployed Iowa military. A salute to Veterans Program presented by VFW Post 7641 and the Auxiliary will begin at 12pm. The post is located at 802 E. McKinley in New London.
Nov. 11: Veterans Day Observance at New London High School
9 a.m. The annual Veterans Day Observance at the New London High School will be held at the Charles Lorber Gymnasium. New London Veterans hold a special place in our community. Take this opportunity to say, “Thank You!”
Nov. 14-15: NL Performing Arts presents Game of Tiaras
7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 An aging king decides to split his kingdom between his three daughters. The play has been described as combining Game of Thrones, King Lear, and three fairytale princesses in one hilarious story. Don’t miss this fast-paced fun play suitable for all ages. The Masqued Tigers have produced another hit.
Nov. 22: Dover Bake Sale
8 a.m.-1 p.m. Stop by the Dover Museum on Saturday, Nov. 22 and purchase baked goods and treats to ease your holiday cooking tasks. It helps to have those little extras around for visiting family and guests.
Tiger Food Pantry Hours
Tiger Pantry hours are Thursday 4-6 p.m. and Saturday 9-11 a.m.
