Jan. 12: Henry Co. Conservation Department presents Beginning Birdwatching

Jan. 17: Hawkeye State Archaeological Society Artifact Show
7 a.m.-3 p.m. The annual Hawkeye State Archaeological Society Artifact Show returns to the Mount Pleasant High School, 2104 S. Grand Avenue! Everyone is welcome to attend. Learn about Iowa’s rich archaeological past and view beautiful artifact displays. The MPCSD booster club will provide food and drinks at its concession stand.
Jan. 17: “Save the Bridge” BINGO night
7 p.m. The Oakland Mills Preservation begins 2026 with a fun, prize packed BINGO night. It’s “Save the Bridge” fundraiser will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Vet’s Hall, 300 W. Monroe Street. Cash prizes, a 50/50 raffle, T-shirts, koozies, cash bar, and soup supper proceeds going toward Preserving Oakland Mills historic heritage.
