Set the Date: Saturday Feb. 3: Attend the Second Annual Banquet and Fundraiser
New London Tiger Shooting Sports 2nd Annual Banquet and Fundraiser is scheduled for Feb. 3. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets: $25. There will be a silent auction, a live auction and gun raffles. Businesses and individuals are invited to contribute items or monetary donations. Location: Mt. Pleasant VFW. Fort Madison Public Library offers Spanish Lessons
Would you like to learn how to speak Spanish? The Fort Madison Public Library will be offering Spanish classes twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. beginning next Tuesday, Jan. 16. Classes will be taught by Elvira Villalba. Lee County Conservation offers program for Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors
Lee County Conservation is excited to host a new program geared toward the Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors (OWLS) of our communities. The second Wednesday of every month, you’re invited to the Conservation Center to learn about a new conservation topic from their naturalists or a local expert. They’re kicking off the program Jan. 10 from 11 a.m. — noon. Naturalist Lia presents Snowbirds: Winter Birds of Iowa. This is a free event with coffee and tea provided.
