Bald Eagle Days Appreciation Days
The 40th Annual Bald Eagle Appreciation Days is Jan. 20, 2024 Keokuk Iowa 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free admission First Christian Church, 3476 Main Street Fellowship Hall: Iowa State University, Lee County Conservation, Native American Displays and Artifacts by the Iliniwek Village, and the Office of the State Archaeologist offer many items of interest. Live Eagle Viewing along the Mississippi River at Victory Park with trained spotters from Lee County Conservation. Activities continue on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024:
Hawkeye State Archaeological Society of Iowa, Mount Pleasant Chapter
Saturday, Jan. 27 7 a.m. — 2 p.m. the Mount Pleasant Chapter of the Hawkeye State Archaeological Society of Iowa will present an artifact show. This popular event was formerly held on the Iowa Wesleyan Campus. This year it will be held at the Mount Pleasant Community High School, 2104 Grand Ave. For information or to reserve tables, contact- Brent Japsen 319-931-9615 or Denny White 319-986-5698.
Saturday Feb. 3: Attend the Second Annual Banquet and Fundraiser
New London Tiger Shooting Sports 2nd Annual Banquet and Fundraiser is scheduled for Feb. 3. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets: $25. There will be a silent auction, a live auction and gun raffles. Businesses and individuals are invited to contribute items or monetary donations. Location: Mt. Pleasant VFW. Tiger Pantry Regular Schedule
Tiger Pantry is open Thursdays, 3:30 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 9-11 a.m.
